Bridging the Research/Practice Gap at the Forrester Content and Collaboration Forum

Lois Lewis September 16, 2011

Next week I will be representing Ascendant at the Forrester Research Content and Collaboration Forum. The forum will explore the future of collaboration, the mobile workplace, and trends in mobile collaboration and content strategies.

Why does Ascendant participate in forums like this? We do it to bridge the gap between research and practice that exists for many of our clients. While good collaboration research exists, it is often hard to consume it. It’s also a challenge to apply it to the every day realities of engaging in and executing successful technology projects.

Our goal in attending the conference is to consume the research that is presented then transform it into practical solutions that can help our clients realize business value. This process will allow social and collaboration practitioners to work directly with researchers to confront existing problems our clients face so we can discover more cutting-edge solutions. We are eager to share our insight through Atech’s Socialize the Enterprise engagements.
